Human life is an entrepreneurial venture. Ecological entrepreneurship is the way to overcome the potential challenges that we are faced with not only at an individual level but also at community, national and global levels! It seeks to build an ethical profitable business while attempting to also undo the damage that the quality of our life and ecology has suffered.

Kashmir Festival (or K-Fest) seeks to reflect on our collective life experience particularly of our educational and livelihood journeys, available options and the way forward. This reflection would pave the way to build a community of passionate ecological entrepreneurs. The event would include sessions by individual speakers who are experienced entrepreneurs, sharing their experiences and panel discussions to inspire ecological entrepreneurship, conversation and collaboration.

The first edition of the K-Fest will bring together businessmen and women, entrepreneurs, intellectuals and academics who have created a positive impact in society through their work. They will interact with aspiring entrepreneurs and students in the following ways:

• Sharing their experiences and ideas of a brighter future
• Bringing in their expertise and resources to help young aspiring entrepreneurs to succeed
• Being a part of an enabling space for ecological entrepreneurship in Kashmir and beyond.

K-Fest shall promote boujwoatt (fellowship / collaboration / networking) to bring together the will of the youth, the experience of seniors and resources that Mother Nature has bestowed upon us!

K-Fest will be held at Sagg Eco Village, a natural farm cum cultural retreat centre located on the Harmukh foothills overlooking the Sindh valley in Ganderbal, Kashmir.

• Create a community of entrepreneurs, academia, intelligentsia, students and aspiring entrepreneurs who are passionate about ecological entrepreneurship
• Showcase the work of entrepreneurs in varied fields such as sustainable technology, natural farming and food processing, handcrafts, renewable energy, and such.
• Build a network of experienced professionals willing to share their learnings and resources with young / aspiring entrepreneurs.

• Empower 500 young / aspiring entrepreneurs and students with practicable knowledge
• Bring together 10 experienced business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals to inspire and guide young / aspiring entrepreneurs and students
• Inspire 15000 people to embrace ecological entrepreneurship by broadcasting parts of the event on our social media channels on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Through K-Fest, we seek to partner with individuals and institutions engaged in developing entrepreneurship, sustainable and localized businesses, natural farming, creative educational methodologies and regenerative living, in order to achieve the event objectives.
